I was at some awesome party last night, some DJ friends were spinnin' some music I usually don't listen to, but I tried to find one unified philosophy of good DJing. And thats how I started this blog.
But first, let me introduce myself. I am a manager at digital agency in Serbia, being a bedroom DJ for 4-5 years now. When people ask me why I don't spin music more to the public this is the answer: I don't want to compromise. Good DJ set should be seriously prepared, and it is impossible to do that every weekend, especially when you have a full time job. In my opinion, if you don't create music you shouldn't be a full time DJ. Simply, because it is not fair.
I play about 5 major gigs a year to a bigger crowd, some friends parties and usually some art events. And thats it. Since I don't have to play every weekend I have time to think about and prepare the set. Thru my posts I will present my philosophy of making a perfect DJ set. I am sure that you will agree, and please don't be shy to start practicing it. You will see the difference:)
